Hi everyone! I hope you're excited about this video. I am so honored that these Etsy shops decided to partner with me. Please check out their shops and show them some love. These items really can help you reduce your waste and I hope that you choose to do so in the spirit of Earth Day.
Leave me a comment below stating what you will pledge to do differently. "In honor of Earth Day I will…."

amityofyouth says:

Cute i really love this , i like that utensil set!

korydeea says:

Love that you promote small Etsy shops. I also do that. In my country there is Breslo, instead of Etsy, with our local small natural etc shops and I always try to buy from them and promote them on my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚

CryMeARiver says:

To all Australians out there!
Coles have bins that you can recycle plastic bags in and the bags get turned into sturdy plastic benches and other really cool sturdy furniture!

Moonstone Sti'itsia says:

Is there eco friendly plastic?

Laura Fifer says:

No more plastic in Hawaii so i sew my own bags for everything even make up pouches, lunch bags, snack bags and yes i sell them. And the money goes to my deaf sons needs.

Andreah Driver says:

One of the best environmental things I did: became vegan (and everyone in my family only eats vegan at home), and about a year ago I bought a set of cloth menstrual pads and a menstual cup. Seriously, so much better for my body, my wallet, and the planet!

Christine Tharp says:

Have you tried making reusable bags from old t-shirts? Also, would those reusable face cloths things work for removing nail polish? Or would that stain them and ruin them

Scarlytt Vinter says:

I pledge to walk all the plastic bottles I consume, since my tap water is unsafe, to the recycling bins even though they're half a mile away.

Ebru Evermore says:

We use our plastic bags for trash bins inside our bathrooms& for the kitchen. So what can I do instead of that & remove getting plastic bags from grocery stores?

Upcycle Cosmetics says:

Hey nice to see you again love the videos

Susan McCormick says:

I shared a pic on Instagram. I kinda forgot to post on Earth day….. I've been trying to use less water by using the same bowl, cup, or utensils throughout the day so I don't have alot of dishes to wash the end of the day. I do quickly rinse things between uses, if needed, of course. We never have people over for dinner or anything and I'm seriously considering having just a fork, spoon, knife, bowl, plate, and cup for each of us (3). We would use less water and have more cabinet space! Win, win! I believe my daughter and bf would be ok with it.

Kaila Laursen says:

I pledge to avoid plastic bags as much as possible. I've always known they were awful but I've never fully tried to avoid them which is dumb considering it's completely possible to do. Shared on Facebook and Twitter. (Might be too late but at least it's spreading awareness and that's what really matters.)

Lily F says:

Great video and ideas as always!!I love your shirt, where did you get it?

Victoria Agostino says:

i have a question do you live in jersey?!!!! lol

Animal Liberation says:

I just ordered two of the cutlery sets! Currently a 2 for 35$ sale (5$ savings)! I have wanted forever but couldn't find a good set. I love these! Straw and chopsticks included ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I felt pretty shabby because I volunteered to do my friends baby shower and she gave me 2 weeks notice so I had no time or money to order environmentally friendly material I ended up buying 6 plastic table cloths and plastic utensils ๐Ÿ™ her shower was on Earth Day too.

Hannah Wilson says:

I started using unpaper towels, menstrual cups, and reusable bottles and cloth diapers! happy earth day

Sarah Delights says:

In honor of Earth Day, I am storing my bulk foods (oatmeal, nuts, baking/cooking ingredients) in jars or reusable containers ๐Ÿ™‚

Iz. C. says:

I was so fucking excited for Earth Day and then I got so sad because it wasn't on a school day!! I wanted to create the peace with everyone..

Iz. C. says:

Wait…what if you recycle plastic, is it then ok to use throwable(recyclable) utensils?

Itzel Lopez says:

I am a Starbucks fanatic and I'll start using my own cup and I'll help all those who I know that drink coffee , have their own cups too!!
I shared through Facebook

liza mixell says:

hi Shel, I always use my travel mug for my coffee, my grocery store actually recycle the bags we use so like even the bags from other stores which is great they have a huge box out in front of the store & once I have so many bags I drop them off & some I save and reuse at home & at the dental office where I work in our smaller trash cans however not only do I pledge to drink more water I am going to make a reusable utensils pack.

Irene Long says:

For earth day (and all of my days) I pledge to stop using plastic/ throw away straws! Recently I realized how many I have been using and I am shook! Im pretty good about not creating waste and I am determined to drop (throw away) straws from my life!
Also I entered on instagram <3

honeybee says:

I pledge to get one of those utensil sets! That's awesome! I posted the picture on my instagram.

crispsaturday says:

For wiping off your makeup you can also use cotton tissues or just cut up pieces of a t-shirt that can no longer be worn ๐Ÿ™‚

Jamie T says:

In honor of Earth Day I pledge to become over all a better person to the environment. I will no longer use paper towels and napkins. Instead, I will use wash cloths that can be reused over and over again. I will air dry my cloths whenever possible and reduce the amount of electricity I use. In lieu of throwing away containers(like Pringle and Pirouline cans) I can reuse them as containers or money stashers. I already use reusable water bottles and bags most of the time, but I will work on that more.

Marissa Dolan says:

I love this!! I'm from a he Austin area and am currently living in Germany as part of my gap year. The first thing I learned here is how Germans deal with waste and recycling. It is a very serious and interesting system. Before coming to Germany I wanted to be more aware of how much waste I was bringing into my life but I wasn't sure of where to start. Now I always carry a water bottle with me and reusable bags. I had no idea about the makeup wipes but that is something I definitely want to get! I plan on taking what I've learned here and hopefully applying it to my family's life when I get back to Tx. Also I will be sharing everything for the giveaway on IG and FB along with this video. I think everyone should watch it!

Maylee Castillo says:

i pledge to only use reusable bags when i shop, and i pledge to start transitioning from vegetarian to full vegan once i get to college this fall (where i'll be studying environmental science!) btw, thank u so much for ur videos, u have really made a difference in how i take responsibility for what kind of image i leave on this earth, and u gave me the courage to be proud of who i am ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ love u! (also, i shared ur post on twitter, @strwbrryguts) ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’Œ

Caitlyn Daniels says:

I just recently purchased a water bottle and tbh felt a little ting of pride when you said to but water bottles… I feel stupid admitting to this๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Katie Weaver says:

what do you use for your period? Can you do a video on eco friendly things for periods, like menstrual cups, cloth pads, period panties, etc
