Ethan Bartlett says:

The compostable bag will not break down in a landfill. The chemical reactions necessary do not take place in a landfill. It can only be composted in an industrial composting facility with other compostable.

Immy Thorpe says:

For laundry you can also use Indian soap nuts and a guppy friend laundry bag to stop nasty microfibres getting in the water and rather than drying your clothes using a machine use a clothes horse/rack !

Dan nie says:

There is an app here in Germany where you can scan products that come in plastic. The app will then automatically send an e-mail to the brand and let them know that the customer wants less packaging. The app is called „replace plastic“. I have been using it quite a lot. 😅

Jess Marett says:

watching this video made me so happy omg. This video came up in my suggested videos and I was amazed. I used to watch you a while ago but once I began my journey towards becoming more minimalist & reducing my waste I unfollowed most of the youtube channels I was subscribed to and only followed minimalist/low waste youtubers to help keep myself on track. SO COOL to see a more "conventional" youtuber making steps towards being eco friendly! I love it! I resubsribed to you now and I can't wait to watch more videos about your eco-friendly journey 🙂

Ansley Corson says:

and you can buy reusable q-tipps on amazon

Ansley Corson says:

you can also use a lot of food scraps for other things! like apple cores to make apple cider vinegar or veggie peels to make vegetable broth which also cuts down on throw away cartons/containers!

barbara carvalho says:

the nellies tin can be used for sending food over to people like cookies and stuff

olgagustaw11348 says:

whats the purpose of dryer sheets anyways?

Maddy Anderson says:

Look on Amazon for those makeup eraser clothes! They are only like $1.50 each and they work really well. 👍

Caterina Maria Antea Rossi says:

Nice video 😄

Danette Harris says:

The Makeup Eraser absolutely does not work for me. I’ve bought 3 so far, thinking I’ve gotten duds, but they’ve all only worked the first couple washes, if that. Also, I’ve heard they have microplastics that are bad to put down the drain…? I don’t know for sure, but I prefer just using face wash. Lush makes really good ‘naked’ face soap, and it works okay for me. Nothing is as good as makeup wipes and remover, to be honest.

Haley Alexander says:

On another note – who else wishes Amazon wouldn’t ship the tiniest thing in such a massive plastic bag?

SteampunkPrincess says:

Can you do a video showing us what you use the empty candle jars for? I'm running out of ideas!
I use loose leaf tea and metal strainers now since a lot of tea bags are partially made with plastic to be able to withstand heat. I also make my own hot chocolate instead of buying it in packaging, or I buy the premade kind at my local bulk store using my own containers. This is the first video of yours I have seen, and I look forward to checking out more of your awesome content!

Melissa MacEwan says:

Hmm I think the way they make tin is pretty harmful to the environment. If only big bulk stores sold stuff like laundry detergent so you could reuse the same container forever

Itzel Velis says:

I love this video, its so informative and perfect for someone beginning their zero waste journey! Something I would consider is the use of palm oil in natural products. Although palm oil is natural, the demand for it causes the current deforestation rate to climb; just a quick tip to further try to save the earth!! 🙂

CSM Murphy says:

I don't even like straws (in any form), why do we have to be such a lazy society that thinks it's necessary to have a device that transports liquid to your mouth because you're too lazy to do it yourself lol – as you can tell I hate tradition

CSM Murphy says:

Roxie Whitmire says:

Encasing trash in plastic is absolutely ridiculous if you think about it
