Patti Moreno the Garden Girl installs an eco lawn from http://www.wildflowerfarm.com and http://www.eco-lawn.com. This lawn needs little watering, no fertilizer and doesn’t need to be mowed. It is perfect for the city, and can grow in bad soil and even in the shade. It is made of a blend of seven types of fescue grass first discovered in a forest in canada.

allergic skin reactions… so watch that.

I like what I see here, but…… It’s almost December here in Wisconsin
and the freeze is upon us. My question is, can this be done in the spring
time?

rrey0456 says:

Can you mow the Eco lawn if you want or will it permanently damage the Eco
lawn?

1A2B43C says:

OR you could save additional resources AND supply foliage to local wildlife
by NEVER cutting it and NEVER watering it. Eco my ass

russtex says:

Great idea! Look forward to seeing your lawn when it fills out.

tylertyler82 says:

It’s also better looking than a normal grass lawn

Miriam Goldberger says:

Yes, you Can grow Eco-Lawn in Arizona, Southern California or even Florida.
In these harsh, arid places the best time to seed Eco-Lawn is November &
December. A mature Eco-Lawn will require 75% less water than the typical
shallow rooted sod lawn. That’s because it’s deep roots penetrate down
9″-14″ to source water. Hope that answers your question!

GardenGirltv says:

I’ve tried it all and I like using a garbage can. Thanks though

garfles1 says:

Lol. Are you retarded? Do you even know what GMO means? There’s no genetic
modification involved. An “eco” lawn is merely a lawn composed of fescue
grasses that grow slower, require less watering, etc.

me says:

i am well aware of what genetic modificationis.i have watched the bees
disappear as the modified crops have grown.Scotts Miracle-Gro has been
pursueing this genetically modified lawn seed for some time now.if yours is
not ,i apologize.if we lose the pollinators,we lose all life on this
earth.again,my apologies.this video was shared with me claiming it was
genetic modification.i am fighting monsantos take over of our food chain
with all i have.

Lansing Allison says:

just be safe up there watering is not the problem

efreshdotcom says:

Nice video. Interesting info. I have a question. Do you have to remove any
moss that’s growing in the garden before you put in the eco lawn? And if
you have put in the eco lawn does the moss come back?

wolftime100 says:

Can you grow this “Eco Grass” in an very harsh arid enviroment in Arizona
in the winter or summer?

co63 says:

Sorry for the comments about race and looks made here, I am sure you are
too mature to be bothered by them.. Am curious if this is a gmo product? If
not, is any of the seed hybrid? Thank you.

xennelul says:

But I love mowing my lawn!

EmelinaChaCha says:

Another great video Patti! Thanks so much for all the great information. 🙂

me says:

WHY THE HELL ARE YOU PROMOTING THE USE OF GMO LAWNS.ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL
THE REST OF THE BEES.???IF THEYRE NOT GONE ALREADY?GMO FOODS CAUSED CANCER
IN RATS EVERY TIME TESTED.WHY ARE YOU HELPING THEM KILL US??1 in 4 of us
have cancer NOW 1 IN 4.RESEARCH THE STATS FOR YOURSELF.1 IN 4

Great information and production value. Thanks for the video Garden Girl!

ThePurpleCarrot says:

I have been wanting to do this for some time, but I didn’t realize it was
so easy! However, I am still curious about how my current grass (and
crabgrass) will co-operate with this idea. Will the old grass & weeds be
choked out by the Eco-Lawn, or will I have a problem on my hands?

niffer58 says:

i really wish i knew what was in my park myself. so i knew what we were
allergic too. i would like to avoid my and my childrens reaction although
it is New Mexico so who knows. it is a very very green grass. thick
blades..all i can really tell ya

nerdmom920 says:
