Mosquitos are atracted by the CO2 produced by the yeast when it consumes the sugar and water. That’s how they find target first, then they usually look for hot spot which indicates nice vasculary zone. The paper is used to stop direct sunlight, to protect the yeast and keep the temperature not too high.

In case the annotations were disabled, here are the instructions:

1. Cut the top of a 0,5L bottle (is better if you use a bigger bottle)
2. Fill it with 200ml of warm water
3. Add 50g of sugar
4. When the mixture cools down, add 1g of yeast (no need to stir)
5. Invert the bottle top into the bottle
6. Wrap it with a sheet of paper
